Open Question: Charged with Possession of Alcohol by a minor?

I live in Connecticut and me and my friends were getting in a car with a 30 pack of beer and some vodka. So when all of us (about 10 of us) were getting in the car, a police car rolls by. (Just our luck right?) So the cop car pulls into the area and tells everyone to get out of the car, they find the beer and the vodka as well as some marijuana. We all got charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and I was just wondering if I should pay the fine or fight it? I am 16 years old and do not have my license yet. Don't judge me, just tell me what I should do, or what can possibly happen to me. The cops said that if we paid it it would gett wiped off of our record, but I doubt that, so my mom is gonna call up a lawyer and see what the best thing for us to do is.... Read More »
